                                    Scientific Waste ManagementSpread across 113,000 sq. m, the Saligao facility in Goa%u2014once a dumpsite%u2014is now an eco-friendly waste management hub. It processes 250 TPD of waste, converting wet waste into biogas and recovering recyclables from 100 TPD of dry waste, with residuals sent for co-processing. The plant also generates 1.32 kW of power (supplying 35 units) and produces 7%u20138 TPD of compost for local horticulture.The 100 TPD cattle dung-based CBG Plant at Laltipara Gaushala in Gwalior is India%u2019s first modern self-sufficient gaushala integrated with a state-of-the-art CBG facility. The plant processes 100 tons of cattle dung and organic waste, including fruit and vegetable waste, every day to generate 2%u20133 tons of Bio-CNG and 10%u201315 tons of organic bio-manure daily. Spread across 7.86 acres, the GAIL CBG Plant at Jhiri in Ranchi, Jharkhand, has a processing capacity of 12,500 cubic metres per day. The facility processes 150 tons of municipal solid waste daily to produce 5,000 kg of bioCNG and 25 tonnes of fermented bio-manure, providing a sustainable source of clean fuel while supporting the fuel requirements of more than 600 vehicles through nearby CNG stations. Located in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, the Bio-CNG plant has a processing capacity of 200 TPD and is being operated by a private developer under the PPP model.
