For achieving effective eGovernance various mobile applications are designed & developed by Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, under the Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban. Below is the brief description about the key mobile applications which are using under the mission:
The Swachhata application is designed to promote cleanliness and hygiene by empowering citizens to report and resolve grievances related to sanitation, garbage disposal, and other cleanliness issues in their surroundings. Using the Swachhata app, individuals can report grievances regarding unattended garbage dumps, overflowing drains, littered public spaces, broken public toilets, and other sanitation-related problems they come across in their neighborhoods. There are 18 various grievances categories available under which citizens can raise their grievances. The app enables users to capture photographs of the issue, provide a brief description, and mark the exact location for reference.
In order to maintain required level of cleanliness and timely upkeep of the community and public toilets across the country the My Toilet App is designed & developed under the Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban. This App is designed for the community toilet and public toilet caretaker, to mark attendance and seek feedback from users of CT/PT. Caretaker has to mark the attendance at least 2 times a day and take feedback from users of CT/PT at least once in 2 hours. Option of showing QR code to the user of CT/PT for taking the feedback is also there in the mobile App. The attendance and feedback data captured through application are available in the SBM Urban MIS portal in real time.
The aim of the Swach Bharat Mission is to make the cities garbage-free. This App helps the GIS operators of urban local bodies to map and capture the spatial data about their respective City Facilities (processing plants, dumpsites, landfills, bulk waste, secondary storage, transfer station, water body, river ghat, storm water drains and nallahs). GIS operator login credentials are obtained from the respective ULB.
